Join Our MissionA coalition of Rotary clubs in District 7070 working together to combat climate change through education, reforestation, and policy engagement.
Help mitigating climate change by acting in the Schools, Communities and assisting Local, Provincial and Federal decision making authorities to implement related policies.
A group of concerned Rotarians in the District of 7070 got together in early 2023 to start:
Systemic climate action through education, reforestation, and community engagement.
17 years of student tree planting at Oak Ridges Moraine. 182 students annually plant 350+ trees, featuring Canadian Raptor Conservancy presentations on wildlife habitat regeneration.
Collaborative project with 9 Rotary clubs. $14,900 District Grant approved for creating dense, fast-growing native forests in Uxbridge.
Multi-day environmental events including park cleanups, educational exhibits at David Dunlap Observatory, and District Environmental Symposiums.
Providing tree seedlings to graduating high school students and festival attendees, encouraging environmental stewardship at home.
Expert presentations on climate science, conservation, and solutions. Monthly RMCC newsletter sharing climate facts and project updates.
Meetings with federal ministers on climate policy. Partnering with municipalities on environmental initiatives and emergency preparedness.

RMCC Board Members Eric Nejat and Fabrizio Burroni received the prestigious District 7070 Environmental Award for "great activities and hard work."
Certificate of Appreciation from Mayor David West for participation in 2025 Clean Up, Green Up Weeks.
Approved for $14,900 District Grant for collaborative Mini-Forest project with conservation authority support.
